This week’s EP
Place of birth: Oakland California
Occupation: currently works for an Architecture firm
What kind of kid were you?
I was a very sensitive kid. I was very creative, and I was kind of, I guess
I was, more creative when I was away with my friends. I was very
conscientious, um, very tidy, um, but I was always, um, picking up on
what was going on in the room. I was picking up on what was going
on, things other people weren’t acknowledging.
If you were to win 1 million dollars in the lottery tomorrow,
what would you do with it?
Umm, well, I really, obviously the best answer is I would give
some away. I would definitely want to give some away, but, I
would want to travel and I would want to own a home. I
don’t want a huge home, but I want a home that’s mine.
What’s the nicest thing anyone’s ever done for you?
Ohhh, there’s so many nice things…
Um, my grandmother, my mom’s mother, um, always
showed an interest in each of us kids, so much so that
when she died, each of us thought we were her favorite,
because she paid us so much attention, so, she always,
she noticed my artistic abilities and so she gave me drawing
lessons, um, attended anything, any performance I ever did.
So, I would say that’s one really nice thing that a grandparent did,
show interest in what I was good at. Alma.
Who’s the funniest person that you’ve even known or seen?
Known or seen? That’s quite, um, final. Um, I really, as for
people that are in entertainment, um, Jimmy Fallon and
James Corden really make me laugh and what I like about
them is they’re, they’re having more fun than anyone when
they’re doing it, they’re like little kids, they’re lost in it and
they really make me laugh and it’s not so much about them.
That’s my sense is that they’re maybe laughing at themselves,
they’re laughing at things that are funny and they’re kind of
in their own, they’re childish. Childish in the best way.
What about anyone you’ve ever known?
Um, my friend Laura makes me laugh really hard because
she’s very self-deprecating too and, just, the stuff she does,
she’s very accomplished, she’s a psychologist, but she’s also
just really her and she, she will be completely honest with me
about what she’s just done, whether it’s good or bad, she’s
very honest and she makes me laugh.
You can go anywhere in the world tomorrow, where is that place and why?
Right now, I really want to explore more of France. My niece is there, I
love Paris, but I would really love to go to Provence cause it’s known for
things that have only the designation of being made there and I really
like the emphasis on craftsmanship, and, uh, everyone speaks French there
and I’m trying to learn French so I would like to go there.
You’re going to live on a deserted island for the rest of your life,
You can only take one of each. Which?
Candy Bar? Almond Joy
Type of food? Italian
Album or CD? Carole King’s Tapestry
Movie? That’s a hard one, I’ll have to think about that.
Book? Ooh, I’ve always been bad at this. I can’t remember the name…
I’ll have to pass until I can think of the name of it, but I do know it..
One person, living or dead, for conversation purposes?
Ohh, I think my friend Laura.
What would you like for other people to say about you?
I would like for people to say that I really saw them for who they were.
